![]() ![]() If something isn’t working right, tap reset axes. LiveFlight Connect will try and auto-map axes if your joystick isn’t recognised. If your joystick is recognised (should say “your joystick is setup correctly!”), skip this step. Open LiveFlight Connect - if both devices are on the same network and Connect is enabled, it should quickly say “Connected!”. In Infinite Flight, go to Settings (top left corner), scroll to the bottom and enable Infinite Flight Connect. Plug the joystick into the PC/Mac and install LiveFlight Connect (if you have any issues, please send a PM to Guide: has tested with the Saitek X52 Pro, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X. LiveFlight Connect should work with most joysticks. A standard home network should work fine, as would a portable hotspot on a phone. Your PC/Mac and device running Infinite Flight need to be on the same local WiFi network. Available to download at (note: Windows version will be available soon) Joysticks cannot be plugged into iOS devices due to restrictions by Apple - we’ll be using an app that sends commands over the network to Infinite Flight.įree, open source client software. Setting up joysticks with iOS requires a bit more setup, but it’s still very easy. That is not something that will work for all devices as manufacturers take some liberty in naming their axes and buttons, so there is no guarantee that the default setup will work. ![]() When it first detects a device, Infinite Flight will try to bind the axes as best as it can. The accelerometer is considered as an input device and so it the network controller that is used when Infinite Flight Connect API is used. The Joystick works alright when mapping it correctly as rollo1002 had shown. I have installed and configured the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick on my computer and have been using it for years on the FSX Steam Edition. But that’s just me.Note that the device list will never be empty. However in the new Flight Simulator the joystick does not work. That way, I can make sure I have full control over what my joystick does, and how to do them, while also eliminating “bloat” or redundant or conflicting bindings. The first thing I do, is to clear all bindings and start to manually bind them from scratch. So for me, whenever I receive a new joystick or a new controller. And then people’s preferences are difference, and different interpretations on how to use them. There are different combinations of hardware, software, etc. Practically, each and everyone and their PCs are unique. which means it’s created in a fully controlled environment. The reason being is that working out-of-the-box means it’s configured by the manufacturer in a lab somewhere. Working out-of-the-box the box is usually something to be aware of. Even Your yoke should start with a blank profile so it doesn’t have an internal conflicting commands. So the only thing that should only work is your mouse clicks and your Yoke. I meant, set them to a blank profile without any controls bound. This means, disconnecting any other devices that you have that might have caused this. What I’m trying to say is, to help you eliminate anything that might have compromised or affected the behaviour of the controls. I have videos but I can’t post links or attachments. When I try to move the yoke for it to recognize the axis, it doesn’t recognize the whole axis “Joystick L/R-Axis X/Y/Z” but instead, a button as “Joystick L/R-Axis X-,+/Y-,+/Z-,+” When the axis control “Joystick L/R-Axis X/Y/Z” is selected the control stays stationary when I’m actually moving my yoke… The x/y/z- and x/y/z+ movements are recognized as if they are buttons, just not recognized in the whole axis while any other app or sensitivity tab recognizes the movement as if it The “Joystick L-Axis X” type of controls don’t work at all, but “Joystick L-Axis X- and X+” are recognized as buttons. But when I map the joystick axis’ to primary control surfaces they don’t move at all The Axis’ -both ailerons (x) and elevator (y) axis and all three throttle axis’ are recognized by my windows 10 system (checked on joystick configuration) and also by flight simulator 2020’s sensitivity configuration menu. I recently bought a CH Products Flight Sim Yoke and I have been trying to configure it and have been trying to fiddle with controls for such a long while with no progress and I’m so done I would be thankful if someone can help me. ![]()
